These are the last of the photos that I took (for my art project). I love them so much! Fairy lights and a wonderful model with equally awesome hair. Recipe for success indeed.

I got 2 rolls of film developed yesterday: 1 color slide roll and 1 roll of film that was tucked away in my Spinner 360 for much too long. Sadly, the Spinner pics didn't come out very nice at all :( Only 3 out of the 7/8 came out! As for the color slide film, I got the index card and they are to be printed on Tuesday. Yusssssssss, can't wait. They look great, I must say.

Well, holidays are almost over and exams start in 3 weeks so I must bid you all adieu. I'll keep posting, albeit irregularly.

So... adieu!

last year

Found some random old photos. Still need to scan in the other pics that I took last weekend, but my scanner's annoying so hopefully you can all be patient with me? :)
I kinda liked the green dot in the first pic; the third picture was taken last year before the World Cup with my Diana F+. Whatchya think?
Have a nice weekend, everybody :)

P.S. I recently set up a Flickr account. Go check it out :)

kiewiet

I wanted to walk past those 2 birdies but they started hissing and raising their wings so I decided not to... turns out they were protecting their eggs. They have super cool eyes. The bird is called a kiewiet :) It's pretty funny cos that's my mom's nickname! When she was young she had skinny little legs and a big, round tummy so they called her Kiewiet haha. And this is the perfect picture to put up because it's my mom's birthday today!

So happy birthday, mom :)
I love you xx

I'm quite happy

Today's a gorgeous day! It's my gran's birthday party, so while she's chatting to all her fellow granny friends I'll be going snap-happy. This past week we had one lovely day of rain (if you can call it that much) and another 4 days of pleasant-ish warmth. But February is around the corner so I'll keep my mouth shut and enjoy the low 30's while I can. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone :)

21.1.11

just the thing

It was full moon on Wednesday. When I went outside, it was drizzling and clouded over. Sadly the moon itself was pretty much not visible, but it's light burst through the clouds. And WOW... Lions Head looked beauuuutiful. Generally when it's good weather and there's a full moon, hikers go up Lions Head to check it out. On Wednesday there were little spots of light dotted all the way around, it looked magnificent... I saw it last full moon as well, but it's just an image that takes your breath away each time. I considered taking a photo, but I didn't want to go inside and miss that bit of evening summer rain... Perfect start to my last year of school.

steady

It's been ages! But I'm back - and I'm getting all my little ducklings in a row - I swear, and with a whole bunch of pics. In just 1 week I'll be beginning my last year of school. It's pretty unreal. So expect to see a bit less of me - but you're probably used to that. I am truly disgraced. Anyhoo, my scanner's being a bit of a bitch so more pics coming tomorrow. Let me know what you think.

:)

15.11.10

hello again!

I know, I've been scarce, but blame it on the exams! 2 more weeks... but I'll come say hi a couple times. :) Here are some new pics.

27.10.10

I wish my damn ankle would heal already so I could go take some damn photos! This is frustrating. Anyway, here's the awesome Mr Egg Man! He walks around town all day, laughing himself into a frenzy of laughter with a whole bunch of stuff on his hat which probably weighs about as much as 10 bags of yummy oranges. Anyway, eggs seem to be the flavour of the year for him. And he has a phone, he lets you talk on it. He's a very cool man, the Egg Man.

5.10.10

Some photos I took a while back with my Lomo fisheye lens. Oh, and meet Toffee, the cutest and bestest sausage dog the world has ever seen. He's also a superb suntan lotion model.

16.9.10

These photos are pretty old, actually. Took them on Mother's Day earlier in the year when we treated mommy dearest to a wonderful lunch in he favorite restaurant, Reubens, in Franschoek. It was a very nice day :) Can't wait for those lovely, summery days again.

9.9.10

Hi, Franschoek (1)

Some more Franschoek. I love the colour. Some more Voigtlander series coming up. :)

7.9.10

hello, summer

This was taken with my grandfather's Voiglander Perkeo. First spool. Oh-so-prettyful in Franschoek in the summer :)

just a few more hours, please?

I really should be finishing off my art project, but good ol' Mr Procrastination decided to pay me a visit this lovely Sunday evening. We're having quite a bit of fun. He also suggested I show you all - if there is infact anyone reading this in this vast universe of blogging - my favorite photograph that I shall be using for this important art project. Yes, it may be simple, but I find it beautiful and it was taken by my late aunt. I kinda like to think she's somewhere in that oh-so-pretty sky.
